The Great East Japan Earthquake was the turning point that inspired me to start a company, driven by the desire to “create value that only I can create.” During my time at a financial institution, I struggled with complex, hard-to-use systems. Then, as an app developer, I witnessed the reality that features we worked hard to build simply went unused. I wanted to eliminate the enormous gap between creators and users — and the opportunity loss that gap produces. That sense of purpose is the origin of TechTouch. After all, work should inherently be something enjoyable — something that lets you take on challenges, earn the gratitude of customers, and make an impact on society. My first encounter with DNX was at the seed stage. Having heard that they were “people who stand by entrepreneurs through every hardship, right to the end,” I reached out. When I was considering keeping our funding amount modest, advice from Akira led us to increase it — a decision that greatly contributed to our business growth. The trust we built through monthly meetings since the seed stage was what led them to serve as our lead investor in Series A as well. Furthermore, within just three months, they introduced us to a CSO from McKinsey and a CFO from Carlyle — and we successfully brought both on board.
